A leader of a regional political party in the northeast Indian state of Manipur, bordering Myanmar, was Wednesday shot dead by some unidentified gunmen, police said. Mani Sana, vice-president of the Manipur People's Party, was going from his house at Thanga area of Bishenpur district to his party office in Imphal West district when he was gunned down at Changangei in Imphal city, 2,250 km from here.
