More Syrian mortar shells fell in the outskirts of Akkar in Northern Lebanon last night. According to Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA), four Syrian-launched mortar shells fell shortly in the outskirts of the town of Mashta Hasan on the Lebanese side of the Great River banks. The incident comes within a series of violations by the Syrian side since the start of the Syrian crisis, which included the launch of mortar shells, rockets and gunfire on the border villages in north and east of Lebanon.
