The latest achievements and charity work of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) in 2013 were discussed in a meeting between the organisation’s Board of Trustees Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the General-Secretary Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed.Several subjects related to the activities and initiatives of the organisation were discussed in the meeting. Shaikh Nasser directed to provide various privileges to orphans, widows and the indigent, on the occasion of the Kingdom’s celebrations of the National Action Charter anniversary.Mr. Al Sayed expressed his appreciation of the auspices granted by RCO Honorary President His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He discussed RCO achievements in 2013 including the increase of financial support to widows and orphans and the resumption of work at Bahrain Center for Training and Vocational Rehabilitation.The General-Secretary also presented RCO’s accomplishments abroad such as the establishment of Bahrain housing compound and social centre in Al Za’atary refugee camp in Jordan, as well as launching the potable water wells project in the Republic of Somalia.In conclusion, other related matters were discussed in the meeting including RCO participation in the 2nd Syria Donors' Conference, which was recently held in Kuwait, as well as the organisation’s international coordination in the field of charity works and future projects.
