Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Argentine counterpart Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner on Thursday held talks, during which they discussed means to bolster bilateral relations and cooperation.

Following the talks, the two parties signed an agreement on developing a comprehensive strategic partnership between Moscow and Buenos Aires.

The agreement was signed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Argentine counterpart Hector Timerman.

The defense ministers of Russia and Argentine Sergey Shoigu and Agustin Rossi signed an agreement on military cooperation.

Russia and Argentina have signed more than 20 documents during the two-day visit of Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner to Moscow.
