Russia Tuesday considered a US diplomat as persona non grata for allegedly attempting to recruit a Russian citizen to work as a spy. The foreign ministry summoned the US Ambassador in Moscow Micheal McFaul following the arrest of third secretary at the embassy, Ryan Fogle, who was caught while trying to recruit a Russian citizen to work for the CIA, Interfax news agency quoted Russian diplomatic sources as saying. The Russian foreign ministry asked the expulsion of Fogle for allegedly working as a spy, they added. The US did not yet react on the incident.
