Russia voiced on Monday concern over current cross-border tensions between Israel and Lebanon.

Moscow is extremely concerned at this situation, the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement.

The trouble has been raised after a firing of rockets from southern Lebanon into Israel.

The attack prompted the Israeli army to retaliate with artillery fire.
