The Russian Foreign Ministry on Thursday strongly condemned the latest militant attack in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.
"We reaffirm a principled Russian stance which categorically rejects and condemns any manifestations of terrorism, regardless of the motives of their masterminds and perpetrators," the ministry said in a statement.
The statement stressed Russia's solidarity with Egypt in its fight against terrorism and extremism.
"We express our sincere condolences to the families of the deceased," it noted.
