Moscow intends to assist in the construction of Egypt's highly effective and well-equipped Armed Forces, said Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov on Thursday.
"We must and we will help this country (Egypt) to create a more efficient, Armed Forces," - said Antonov, noting that Egypt is in a difficult time in terms of security situation and needs support", according to Sputnik news agency.
In February, Moscow and Cairo agreed to jointly confront challenges including terrorism.
