Russia on Tuesday rejected imposition of additional sanctions on Iran, welcoming Tehran's readiness to address its nuclear file. Russia is against additional American sanctions against Iran including the expansion of list of Iranian officials included in the sanctions, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov was quoted by Itar-Tass news agency as saying.Imposing unilateral sanctions against Iran is "unacceptable and illegitimate, and would hamper any progress during the negotiations with Iran, " he said. Ryabkov commended the Iranian leadership's keenness to solve the nuclear file. "We have achieved a concrete progress," he added. He said political and economic relations between Moscow and Tehran were good, and there was a "candid" dialogue between the two countries.
