Russia's Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov met with the advisor to the Tunisian president, currently visiting here.
Talks took up bilateral relations, as well as regional and international developments, a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
They also discussed efforts to counter terrorism.
The Foreign Ministry said Tuesday's meeting also tackled the situation in Libya, Iraq, Syria and the African Sahel region.
The two sides stressed the need to activate efforts to counter increasing terrorist threats in the Middle East and North Africa, the statement said.
They also talked about boosting bilateral relations at the political and economic levels, it added.
