Assistant Sudanese President Ibrahim Ghandour met Thursday with the Russian ambassador to Sudan.
In statements after the meeting, the Russian ambassador said that he told Ghandour that Russia will sent missions to monitor the elections in Sudan due on April 13.
Russia considers that the election is a step on the way of democracy in Sudan, the ambassador said.
The meeting also took up means to boost bilateral ties between both states and mutual cooperation in the international and regional gatherings, he said.
