Russian President Vladimir Putin held Friday a telephone conversation with Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi and discussed the latest developments in Gaza. Russian news agency Iter-Tass reported today that Putin stressed on the importance of ending military confrontations and called on both Palestinians and Israelis exercise restraint. Putin has also voiced his support to Egyptian efforts that aims to bring back stability to Gaza. The two sides also discussed bilateral relations and stressed the importance of expanding ties of bilateral cooperation. They also agreed that Morsi visit Moscow at a later date.
