Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov held a series of meetings with the Syrian opposition forces in Geneva, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
In a press statement, the ministry said the two-day meetings, which started on Wednesday, discussed intra-Syrian talks to kick off in Geneva on January 25.
Gatilov stressed the importance of forming a delegation grouping all Syrian opponents with the aim of achieving a breakthrough for the Syrian crisis.
