Russian Foreign and Defence Ministers will begin next Wednesday a two-day visit to Egypt. The Russian Foreign Ministry released a press statement today saying that Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Defense Sergei Shoigu will hold talks with their counterparts, Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy and Defense Minister Abdul-Fatah Al-Sissi. They will also hold a 2+2 to discuss bilateral relations. The Ministry added in its statement that the two ministers are looking to discuss international and regional affairs, particularly focusing on events in the Middle-East and North Africa. Furthermore, they will discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in political, economic and military fields.
