A Russian parliamentary delegation is slated to arrive in Tehran later this week to discuss bilateral ties with Iranian officials.Deputy Head of the Russian Federation Council Ilyas Umakhanov, heading a parliamentary delegation, is due to pay a visit to Iran from April 21 to 24.The Russian parliamentarians\' visit to Iran will take place at the invitation of Second Vice-Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Reza Bahonar.Umakhanov is slated to meet with Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, Chairman of the parliament\'s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and other Iranian officials to discuss ways of expanding mutual cooperation, specially parliamentary ties.Iran and Russia have vast cooperation in different fields, especially in political and economic spheres.The two states also enjoy special positions on the international scene and have long had constant and regular consultations on key regional and global issues.
