A Russian presidential decree issued concerning special economic measures against Turkey should help Ankara understand that flirting with terrorism is unacceptable, local media quoted Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Konstantin Kosachev as saying on Sunday.
Earlier, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the application of special economic measures in relation to Turkey.
“I am confident that this hard, strong, position, of course, will bring our Turkish neighbors in the proper sense. How this will occur depends largely on personal position (of Turkish President Tayyip) Erdogan,” said Kosachev, adding that after the tragedy with the Russian jet, the Turkish leader has demonstrated his political responsibility “in the minimum and not the maximum volume.”
