Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his visiting Saudi counterpart Adel al Jubeir held a press conference Tuesday in which they seemed to agree on almost all issues, atop of which efforts to fight the terrorism of Daesh.

Lavrov said his talks with Jubeir took up conditions in the Middle East and ways to settle the conflict in Syria.

He told reporters that they also discussed the situation in Libya, Yemen and Iraq.

Lavrov pointed to some differences with Riyadh about the Geneva declaration, but he still said that the two countries agreed on the importance of taking steps to create favorable circumstances to resume dialogue between the Syrian regime and opposition.
