Russia's Navy ship Priazovye has evacuated 308 people from Yemen, where Saudi Arabia-led coalition is carrying out a military operation against the Houthis, Sputnik International‎ quoted a spokesman for Russia's Defense Ministry Igor Konashenkov as saying on Sunday.

"Among the evacuated from the zone of hostilities in Aden area are citizens of 19 states, including 45 Russian citizens," Konashenkov stated.

According to him, all the citizens evacuated are safe and are currently on board of the Russian ship that will deliver them to Djibouti by morning.

The Russian warship Priazovye carries out a scheduled mission in the Gulf of Aden as part of the anti-piracy measures, Gen. Maj. Konashenkov added.
