Moscow - MENA
Russia's Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Deputy Foreign Minister termed the Russian-US talks on Syria, held here on Monday, as constructive.
In statements carried by the Russian Tass News Agency, the Russian envoy said the two sides affirmed their common resolve to foster cooperation to find solutions for the challenges facing the Middle East region.
He also said talks were attended by US envoy to Syria Daniel Rubenstein and continued for several hours.
The envoy said Russia and US play a distinguished role in the Syrian crisis, denying that talks raised holding Geneva-3 conference. He asserted that talks covered preparations for resuming the Geneva process and joining hands with regional countries to play a role in the Syrian crisis.
