Seoul - QNA
South Korea will hold a one-day drill on the defense of the Dokdo islets tomorrow, Friday. The Korea Coast Guard will lead the drill for the first time since the first Dokdo defense exercise was held in the early 1990s. The coast guard will take the lead and the military will play a supporting role in case of an emergency, since the upcoming exercise is based on a scenario that foreign civilians, not military forces, intrude on South Korea\'s easternmost islets, South Korean (KBS World) quoted an official at the Joint Chiefs of Staff as saying. The official added that Marine Corps\' landing maneuvers which were initially planned as part of the drill have been canceled.
