Security measures to prevent information leaks have been toughened at Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Novo-Ogaryovo residence near Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.

"Measures are taken to ensure secrecy regime and prevent unwanted information leaks," TASS quoted Peskov as saying.

"These measures have been toughened, indeed," he added.

Journalists who arrived at the residence earlier on Friday to cover Putin’s agenda had to face stricter measures. It is now forbidden to enter some part of the residence with mobile phones and computers.
