The Saudi Embassy in Turkey said that it is following up the case of a Saudi family, who was beaten by security men at Istanbul Airport.
A Saudi woman and her sons were beaten by airport employees upon arrival at Istanbul Ataturk Airport.
The Saudi Embassy is following up the matter, Saudi Ambassador to Turkey Adel Merdad was quoted by Al Hayat Newspaper as saying.
The Embassy is awaiting the report of the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul in order to inform the relevant Turkish authorities on this case and hold investigations into the issue, he added.
The Embassy will continue to follow up the matter, he said, adding that the perpetrators should be held accountable.
He, meanwhile, urged the Saudi tourists to respect the laws of the country and stay away from high-tension areas for their own safety.
The airport employees assaulted the Saudi woman after she stood by mistake in an area designated for the handicapped.
They also beat up her two sons after they tried to intervene to stop them from assaulting their mother. The two sons were handcuffed and were taken to the police center at the airport.
