The Saudi Interior Ministry announced Tuesday the arrest of two nationals, Abdullah bin Naji bin Abdullah Al Ammar and Ahmad bin Saud Salman Al Ammar, accused of attacking security personnel and facilities in Qatif. In press statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ministry spokesman said that the apprehension of the two citizens came after collecting enough evidence of their involvement with a number of wanted individuals in attacking with guns security personnel, vehicles and stations at the town of Awwamiyya, and of firing at the district prison in Qatif. The arrested citizens admitted their involvement in crimes targeting security men in addition to several other criminal offenses, including armed robbery at shops and private residences, 13 crimes of stealing cars, three crimes of which at gunpoint, and kidnapping and raping three children on, the statement said. It went on to say that Abdullah Al Ammar was involved in the murder of a citizen working in a restaurant and abducted and raped two expatriate females working in female beauty shop. The spokesman added that the arrested citizens will be transferred to the legal authorities to complete the investigation.
