Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Work Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabiah on Tuesday received UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Stephen O`Brien to discuss ways to deliver the Saudi aid, allocated by King Salman, to Yemen.

King Salman allocated $274 million in response to an urgent appeal by the United Nations to help the Yemeni people.

During the meeting, $142,8 million were allocated for the World Food Programme, $31,7 million for the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), $5,8 million for the United Nations development program, $29,6 million for the United Nations Children's Fund, $22,6 million for the World Health Organization, and $524,9 thousand for the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, $2,4 million for the United Nations Fund for housing, and $8 million for the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The two sides also agreed to continue consultations on the use of the remaining amount in other programs implemented by King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action.
