Rateb al-Jbour, Coordinator of Popular Committee to Resist Wall and Settlement in Yatta village, said that a number of Israeli settlers from Maoun and Carmel settlements arrived since the early hours of Friday morning, to a Palestinian-owned land they illegally seized in an area east of the city of Hebron few months ago, and began planting olive trees. The settlers, protected by Israeli soldiers, began farming a 150-dunum (37 acres) land belonging to al-Hathaleen family, al-Jbour added.Al-Jbour called on international and human rights institutions to immediately intervene to put an end for the illegal measurements that Israeli forces and settlers carry out against the Palestinians and their property, which aim at deporting the Palestinians from their land and seize it for the purpose of settlement expansion.
