Head of the Jordan Representation Office at the Palestinian Authority, Khaled Shawabkeh, on Tuesday presented his credentials as a representative of the Kingdom for the UNRWA. The credentials were presented to UNRWA Commissioner-General Filippo Grandi in Ramallah. During the meeting, the two officials discussed cooperation between Jordan and the UN agency that aims to provide services for the Palestinian refugees. Jordan, Shawabkeh said, hosts the largest number of Palestinian refugees, stressing the need for donor countries to honour their obligations towards the agency. Grandi, on his part, expressed appreciation for the key role played by Jordan to support the UNRWA, noting the efforts exerted by His Majesty King Abdullah II to achieve peace and stability, which are the only way to find a solution to the Palestinian refugees’ issue.
