Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Friday held talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on ways to boost bilateral cooperation in all fields.
Shoukry's next talks with Chinese officials are expected to tackle the preparations for Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Egypt in April.
The talks will deal with the latest developments in the Middle East, mainly the crises in Yemen and Syria and the stalled peace talks between the Palestinians and Israel.
Egypt's top diplomat arrived to China on Friday on a two-day visit as he leads a delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Ministerial Contact Committee on Defending the Cause of Palestine.
