President Abdel Fattah El Sisi delegated Sunday Presidential Secretary Ahmed el Ansary to the Embassy of Eritrea in Cairo to offer greetings on the country's Independence Day.

Eritrea’s Independence Day falls on May 24. On this day in 1991, Eritrean People's Liberation Front forces moved into the capital Asmara, reinstating independence, following a 30-year-long battle against the Ethiopian military regime.
