Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held discussions Monday with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in the United Nations (UN) headquarters here.

The meeting, which came on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, took up means of promoting bilateral ties in various fields, as well as some regional and international issues of common interest.

It was attended by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
