President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will start the program of his visit to Germany on Wednesday with a meeting with German President Joachim Gauck, which will be followed by talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel on ways of boosting bilateral ties in all fields as well as the ongoing developments in the Middle East.

The talks will continue on a business lunch hosted by Merkel in honor of the Egyptian leader and his accompanying delegation, which will be followed by a press conference, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.

The program also includes a meeting with the leader of majority of the German parliament, who recently visited Egypt.

Sisi will also meet with a number of German thinkers and researchers of Copper Institute to brief them on the latest developments in Egypt and the Arab region.

The Egyptian leader will also hold talks with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on ways of boosting bilateral ties and international issues of common concern.

Sisi will also attend the closing session of an Egyptian-German economic forum.

He will witness the signing of a number of agreements between Egypt and Germany in the fields of energy, technical education, housing and infrastructure.

The visit is aimed at benefiting from the German expertise in the technical and vocational education, the spokesman said.
