President of the Republic of Lebanon, Michel Sleiman, sternly condemned on Wednesday the “Israeli premeditated negligence of the condition of detainees in Israeli jails,” which recently resulted in the death of Maisara Abu Hamdia.“Israel, which kills Palestinian civilians with heavy weaponry, refrains from heeding the necessary care for ill detainees, hence flouting the least humanitarian norms, pacts, and morals,” NNA quoted Sleiman as saying.He then called upon the international community to inspect the condition of detainees and to wield pressure on Israel to respect the related international conventions
