The Head of Customs in Cairo International Airport Ahmed Hassan underlined that smuggling jewels and diamonds has become a noticeable phenomenon during the current phase.

Jewels, especially diamonds, are mostly smuggled because they are very expensive, can be easily hidden and are not easily discovered, Hassan reiterated.
