The South Korean Parliament voted Lee wan-Koo as the country's new Prime Minister.
Some 148 Members of Parliaments voted in favor of wan-Koo but on the other hand 128 members were in opposition. wan-Koo has previously served as a Minister of Finance.
He will succeed Chung Hong-won who resigned after the Seoul ferry sinking last April. More than 300 people, mostly secondary school students, died as a result.
