South Korean lawmakers

A delegation of South Korean lawmakers met Thursday with new leaders of a U.S. congressional group aimed at promoting parliamentary exchanges with South Korea and agreed to work closely together to strengthen the alliance, officials said.

The South Korean delegation, led by Rep. Lee Byung-suk, held talks with Reps. Peter Roskam (R-IL) and Mike Kelly (R-PA), new co-chairmen of the U.S.-ROK Inter-Parliamentary Exchange, first established in the mid-2000s to promote parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries.
