Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Omer Amer said on Wednesday that the time of return of the Egyptian ambassador to Israel is a sovereign decision that is taken by the Egyptian State at the time it deems appropriate. In press statements, he added that any aggression on Islamic sites in the Palestinian territories is rejected by Egypt. As for an Israeli raid on the Gaza Strip on Tuesday despite an Egyptian-sponsored truce, the spokesman added that Egypt denounces any violation of the truce.
