Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived today in New Delhi for a three-day state visit to India. During the visit, Rajapaksa will hold talks with his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on means of bilateral relations and issues of common interest, a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of Sri Lanka accompanying the president said. During his stay here, the Sri Lankan president is to visit the Sanchi stupa on Friday and also lay the foundation stone of the University of Buddhist and Indic Studies in Sanchi.
