Khartoum - MENA
A delegation of Sudanese tribesmen left for the US as part of a 'popular initiative' led by Sudanese businessman Essam al Sheikh to urge the US to lift economic sanctions on the country and remove its name from the list of terrorism-sponsoring states.
The two-day visit will include Washington and Mississippi for official meetings with the US Congress and State Department, Sheikh has said.
The visit program will also focus on popular meetings to improve relations between the two countries' peoples, he said.
