One civilian was killed and eight injuredSaturday by a suicide bomber in northern Afghanistan, police said, according to dpa. "The bomber targeted a police vehicle passing in Khan Abad districtat 9:30 am (0500 GMT)," said Sayed Sarwar Hussaini police spokesmanfor Kunduz province.Hussaini said the police officers were unhurt but one civilianpasserby died and eight others were injured.No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
