Migrants

Sweden has welcomed a proposal floated by the European Union to relocate migrants among EU member states in order to avoid further disasters.

In statements on Monday, Morgan Johansson, Minister for Justice and Migration, said the EU needs huge potentials to address this great humanitarian crisis.

He pointed out that there are 50 million displaced persons worldwide.

The EU has proposed to use an “emergency system,” previewed by the EU treaties, to address “a sudden inflow” of refugees and ensure a fairer burden-sharing of asylum seekers among member states.
