Operational issues pertaining to Syria, the Horn of Africa, Afghanistan, Burma and other countries will be discussed at the US-Canada Humanitarian Consultations in Ottawa, Canada, to be held on Friday, the US State Department announced. The agenda also includes strengthening the UN\'s humanitarian architecture, best practices for assisting refugees and internally displaced people, and the protection of civilians, said the announcement released on Wednesday night. US Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration Anne Richard will lead the US delegation to the conference.
