Another seven Syrian generals defected to Turkey, Ankara press reported today. Anadolu Agency reporters based in Antiochs Apaydin camp in Hatay say that high officials of the Damascus army were transferred to the camp under heavy security measures. The Apaydin camp is currently sheltering numerous Syrian officials who have defected. Including these latest defections, the number of Syrian generals who have deserted and are now hiding in Turkey are 42, writes Zaman online.
