At least 21 people, including two women and one child, were killed on Monday as the Syrian military renewed their bombardment over several parts of the country. Syrian opposition group, the Local Coordination Committees (LCC) located the fatalities at 12 in Aleppo, six in Damascus and its suburbs, one in Hama, one in Daraa and one in Deir Ezzor. The death toll is expected to rise further as the army continues the indiscriminate shelling of residential areas in Syria, according to the LCC statement received here. Meanwhile, the Free Syrian Army killed ten soldiers and destroyed two tanks in clashes with regime forces in Aleppo, as fierce fighting continued between Syrian soldiers and the Free Syrian Army countrywide. The LCC said, dozens of wounded and deaths were reported due to an air strike by warplanes and fierce artillery shelling in Idilb, Daraa, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo and Damascus Suburbs. Yesterday, the LCC reported 79 civilian deaths, including women and children, noting that the death toll of the conflict exceeded 100,000 since March, 2011.
