A number of shells, fired from Syria on Friday fell inside Akkar region, north Lebanon. The shells landed in the villages of Menjed, Al-Noura, and Hakar Janin in the area, causing panic and ire among the villagers, local media quoted security sources as saying. No casualties were reported so far, the sources said, noting that the area was the scene of similar shelling several times in the last few months which seems to be a spillover of the conflict in Syria.
