The First Vice president of the Republic Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, has affirmed Sudan commitment to implement the recently signed agreements with the State of South Sudan in the framework of establishment of good neighborhood and exchange of interests between the two countries. This came during his meeting Monday with the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, at the organization headquarters in Jeddah. During the meeting the first vice president gave a briefing on the situation in Sudan, praising the Organization\'s continued support to Sudan and its keenness to help achieving peace, stability and development in the country. He also reviewed the bilateral relations between Sudan and the organization and means of enhancing them in all fields and discussed the ongoing arrangements to hold the donors conference on Darfur in Doha on the 7 and 8 of next April. The two sides exchanged views over the developments in situations in the Islamic world and means of boosting Islamic work. The Secretary General of the organization reiterated the firm stances of support for Sudan to maintain its , security, sovereignty and safety of its territories in face of current challenges.
