The First Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, will Tuesday leave for Kassala State on a two-day visit to be informed on the situation in the state and implementation of East Sudan peace agreement at the political, economic and security levels.Taha received in his office Thursday at the Republican Palace the Assistant of the President of the Republic and Chairman of East Sudan Front, Musa Mohamed Ahmed, and reviewed the preparations for the visit of the First Vice - President to Kassala State.In a statement after the meeting, Musa Mohamed Ahmed said that he discussed with Taha the remaining issues in East Sudan peace agreement, the matrix of cooperation agreement which were signed recently by Sudan and South Sudan in Addis Ababa and the importance of the participation of all the political forces toward pushing ahead implementation of the peace agreement and confronting challenges.Ahmed said that realization of peace all over east Sudan represents the biggest accomplishments of East Sudan peace agreement, besides implementation of projects by East Sudan Rehabilitation and Development Fund, through Kuwaiti funding, in the fields of education, health and water.He pointed out that the visit of the First Vice - President of the Republic to Kassala State will a positive impact on all fields, especially the implementation of East Sudan peace agreement.
