Tajik Foreign Minister Sirodjidin Aslov asserted that his country backs Egypt's bid for a non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council elections, Egypt's Ambassador to Moscow Mohamed El Badry said.
Aslov, who met with the Egyptian ambassador Saturday, hailed the important role played by the Egyptian political leadership in the Middle East and its efforts to defeat terrorism.
He also referred to historical, strategic and economic relations between the two countries.
