An explosion took place on Wednesday morning in al-Bassa area on the outskirts of Lattakia city, causing smoke to rise at the site, SANA reported. An official source told the agency that the explosion occurred in a military engineering unit and was due to a technical error. The source added that six people were injured in the incident.
