Thai caretaker Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul on Thursday appealed to foreign governments and international organizations to condemn anti- government protesters in the country. Their condemnation of protesters' law-violating actions will not be viewed as interference in Thailand's domestic affairs as it is in line with the Charter of the United Nations, Surapong was quoted by Bangkok Post as saying. He called on the United Nations to take the lead in condemning protesters. Surapong made the remarks while briefing diplomats of 51 countries as well as officials of four international organizations. He also made the promise that the caretaker government would go through with the Feb. 2 general election, which was disrupted by protesters.
