Thailand backs Egypt's nomination to a non-permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Thai Ambassador to Egypt Peerasak Chantavarin said on Thursday.

In statements to MENA, Chantavarin stressed his country's support for Egypt to gain a UNSC non-permanent seat.

He further hailed deeply-rooted relations between Egypt and Thailand in all fields.
