Thousands of Kurdish people took to streets of Strasbourg for a big rally calling for an end to the 16-year-impresonment of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.
The protestors called also for removing name of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) from terrorist list voicing support to Kurdish fighters in battle against Daesh in Iraq and Syria.
Organizers of the rally said about 10 million signatures were collected for the freedom of Ocalan.
Ocalan was captured in Kenya on February 15, 1999 in an operation carried out by Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (MİT).
